Every year, thousands of young creators write and illustrate their own books and Karya Raya is where their stories come to life.
Karya Raya is Indonesia’s largest children-made book exhibition a joyful celebration of imagination, storytelling, and creativity.
Here, kids aged 5–14 proudly display the books they’ve written and illustrated themselves, alongside thousands of other young authors from all over Indonesia and the world.
But Karya Raya is more than just an exhibition.
It’s a movement that believes every child’s story deserves to be seen and heard.

Each year, 100 selected books become part of the Perpustakaan Jakarta’s permanent collection, preserving the voices and dreams of Indonesia’s young authors.
